Cyclotron and Central Radiopharmacy Facility at Science Park II

SRP has a core GMP-compliant sterile radiopharmaceuticals production facility including a 16.5 MeV PTEtrace cyclotron (GE), synthesis rooms for PET-radiopharmaceuticals and a central radiopharmacy.PETtrace 10 configuration consists of dual GEN II targets for ¹⁸F production. This very high capacity configuration enables production of large quantities of ¹⁸F. We have TRACERlab MxFDG modules, dedicated, automated system for efficient production of ¹⁸F-FDG, the most common tracer for PET investigations. The TRACERlab FxF-N is an automated system for efficient production of general [¹⁸F] Fluoride (nucleophilic) based tracers.The TRACERLab FxC is a dedicated, automated system for efficient production of general ¹¹C-based tracers. Our production capability also includes N-13 target system for production of ¹³N-Ammonia. These are supported by the modern analytical tools such as radioHPLC, gas chromatography, gamma spectroscopy, and others.

A GMP-Compliant Facility

We pay special attention to GMP-compliant production of sterile injectable radiopharmaceuticals. International GMP experts are involved in the establishment of our quality management system and GMP protocols.

Radiation Safety Features

Our radiation safety features include adequate shielding of all production areas, continuous real-time gamma and neutron radiation monitoring systems and stringent handling methods. Radiation protection measures, safe radiation exposure levels, and licensing of the facility are applied in accordance with Singapore radiation regulations and guidelines (Radiation Protection Act 2007 and the Radiation Protection (Ionizing Radiation) Regulations 2000).
